Me

Hey, my name is Jason and on the 15th September 2007 I will finally be on my gap year and travelling around the world. For 9 months my route will be

London – Kenya – Tanzania – Malawi – Mozambique – Zimbabwe – Zambia – Botswana – Namibia – South Africa – Swaziland – Mozambique – Australia – New Zealand – Fiji – Bali – Singapore – Malaysia and Thailand.

If i still have some money left which i hope to do, i will spend a month or 2 expoloring Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos.

20 Months ago I was sat in the Library during my final year of University amongst friends who were planning travels for that very summer. Unfortunately I knew I never would be able to afford to make a trip so soon, instead i decided to begin a PGCE and gain qualified teacher status before leaving, that way i could earn money through student finance and work weekends at ASDA. Now I have completed the degree, obtained QTS and for the last 14 months worked almost 7 days a week. It’s been a tough experience, my social life has been near non existence, it put an end to relationships and family just about know im still alive. It will certainly be worth it. £10,000 later I am where I am now, just 5 weeks from leaving trying to squeeze every penny from ASDA yet still leaving time to have fun with friends who have been more than patient with me for over a year.

So this page will be my diary. Records and a few photos from my trip around the world and more. To view them follow the links on the calendar to the right. Most will follow the link from my facebook profile and know much about me, others that dont can check it out alternatively I spent ages filling in pointless surveys once and they are here. Thanks for visiting!
