Did you know?

Did you know I went to Morocco and Edinburgh over Christmas? It just occurred to me that i hadn’t wrote on here for a while, hence the post, what to write when it’s all going good? Well it is all going good, 6 days in Morocco, a few days at home with family then 4 days in Edinburgh for Hogmanay! I had a festive period to rival the past 2 years. In fact i would think this just about tips it. Morocco was a nice break, it felt like i was travelling again, a cultural country with lots of history, it was a challenge to dodge the touts but that added to the fun! all in all Maria and I spent an awful lot of time travelling and seeing rather than just relaxing, but it was better that way, it was nice to see how the Moroccans lived! The old cities were beautiful and full of architectural wonder!

The brief stay at home was a nice one, a family christmas is something i sacrificed last year for my round the world trip, making it somethings a little more special this year. you take things for granted year in year out but this year there was a festive cheer within. After my brief stay I was off to Edinburgh for new year, an idea I had had for a while but never thought it would come to fruition as we were just too lazy in organising it! I am so glad we did. It was so much fun, the atmosphere was lively and full of celebration, and on the days in between Edinburgh is such a beautiful we had so much to explore, and alcohol to absorb! The people in our room were much fun too, except one idiot, he was an idiot and he managed to detach himself early on in the night! Hogmanay was definitely worth the visit and not as expensive as originally expected, no more than 250 quid for 4 days including travel hostel and food/drink!

I had a great christmas, what about you? thankfully I have a job with the freedom of holidays, teaching is great sometimes. It’s going to be a tough 6 weeks but the 8 days in Norway will soon get me over that!

For now i need to concentrate and refocus my efforts in work, its a continuously changing learning curve, it seems to get steeper by the week, more a more needs to be done every week, but then I do need to earn my holidays don’t I!
